MINDFULNESS FOR PARENTS&KIDS FUNDAMENTALS, INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED-
DATES AND INFORMATION ON EACH COURSE
The dates for this courses are not yet set. They will start in September 2020.
The specific dates will be available on our website summer 2020.
All courses are 12 week courses. These courses are for parents and kids to participate in together, but they are really designed to teach kids mindfulness. All the exercises can be done by both parents and kids, but they are designed for kids' needs. It is important that the parents participate and do the exercises with the kids, and go over the materials that will be given so as to help their kids implement mindfulness in their every day lives especially when they are dealing with emotionally difficult situations. Mindfulness is a gift and can be life altering for anyone especially if learned from a very young age :)
The fundamentals course is really just that: the fundamentals of mindfulness for kids. In this course we will learn through stories, role playing and games the basic mindfulness and heartfulness exercises for kids.
The intermediate course uses the basic mindfulness exercises we learned in the fundamentals as well as others to help children deal with their emotions. It helps kids through scenarios to create empathy and compassion towards themselves and others and to not take things personally.
In the advanced course we built on all we learned in the previous course and we start introducing some visualization exercises. We also learn a bit more about the brain and built on how to deal with difficult emotions and on our concentration exercises.
